SUMMARY OF JOB:General accounting including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the senior accountant in carrying out his responsibilities.The successful candidate will need to display flexibility and will need to be able to manage a up to two local ledgers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
Prepare financial management reports
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Support of budget and forecast activities
Develop and maintain financial data bases
Support financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses

Required SkillsEXPERIENCE—MINIMUM REQUIRED:
College degree or equivalent
Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles (i.e. IFRS, US GAAP)
Knowledge and experience of related computer applications (i.e. MS AX; HFM; MS Office)
Usually a minimum of 3 years experience in general accounting
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1—REQUIRED:
Ability to organize and prioritize
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills,
Good problem analysis skills
Good English language skills
Good language skills in at least 1 other European language
