Improve the development tools used locally by all developers
Architecting reusable deployment modules to common cloud applications
Enhancing CI/CD pipelines
Refactoring legacy code with new modern automated solutions
Researching and deploying new third-party vendor tools to be used throughout the organization
Providing proper training and communication to others so that they may benefit from your solutions
Work directly with a development team in California and other offshore development team members in various time zones
Able to overlap with US West coast 3 – 4 hours to handle hand-over discussions, triage issues, etc.
Candidate Profile:
A Master’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or comparable experience
Excellent programming skills with minimum 10 years of total experience that spans multiple languages
At least 3 years of experience with AWS, ability to write an IAM policy from scratch is a plus
At least 3 years of experience with DevOps and automated cloud deployment
Proficiency with Git is required; previous experience with the Atlassian product family (Confluence and Jira) is a plus
Must enjoy collaborative problem solving, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate attention to detail
Track record of keeping up with new cloud technologies, languages, standards, and practices
Prior knowledge of finance, real estate data, mathematics, or GIS / spatial data is a plus
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team
Knowledge & Skills
Passion for automation
Expertise in at least 1 major CI/CD DevOps system, like GitHub or Bitbucket
Excellent problem-solving skills
Expert in Terraform, ability to write a custom Terraform provider is a plus
Advanced capabilities with AWS infrastructure and its networking and security
Good understanding of OpenID Connect/OAuth2 style authentication and JWT tokens
Ability to think of solutions at a high level and then implement those designs in whichever language(s) are required including C#, Python, and JavaScript
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Can give effective technical presentations
Ability to quickly learn, internalize complex problems, suggest multiple solutions with pros/cons for each, and efficiently troubleshoot bugs
Prior experience developing scalable APIs (REST and GraphQL)
Compensation, Benefits and Work Authorization:In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. Hybrid Office Model: 3 days per week (Monday - Wednesday) in office in Sofia, 2 days remote
Working Hours: 3 days per week 11:00am – 8:00pm, 2 days 9:00am – 6:00pm EEST
