Job Description:We are rapidly expanding our data capabilities to leverage innovative technologies, such as AI and ML, to automate and improve our products and processes. This role will join a new team to drive this change throughout our business with the opportunity to make a real difference. We are seeking someone who can get stuck in and lead from the front!
Develop and execute tailored data automation strategies, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual processes
Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to seamlessly integrate automated processes
Implement and reinforce data security measures throughout the automation lifecycle
Leverage cloud platforms (AWS) to scale and optimise data automation and workflow
Translate business needs into effective data automation solutions, collaborating with stakeholders in the financial sector
Explore and incorporate innovative data sources and technologies to enhance automation capabilities
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in financial data automation
Provide training and support for internal teams to ensure a smooth transition to automated data processes
Contribute insights to strategic planning sessions, aligning data automation initiatives with overall business goals
Requirements:Commercial experience in a data science role
Proficiency in data science methodologies and algorithms
Strong programming skills in Python or R including package management
Experience with statistical analysis and hypothesis testing
Competency in machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Ability to clean, preprocess, and analyse large datasets
Solid understanding of data visualisation techniques and tools
Experience of maintaining cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
Effective communication of complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
It would be nice if you had:
Experience working in Financial Services and with Financial Data, with exposure to Alternatives a real bonus
Skills in data engineering and pipeline development
Experience of building and maintaining machine learning and AI models
Familiar with python, including package management
Eagerness to get involved and share responsibility for the platform
Experience of MLOps is a plus
